We are talking about a very characteristic stone and, frequently, connoisseurs know how to recognize a tsavorite from a emerald. It is usually lighter (transparent) and shinier. It is also much rarer, but it is difficult to find large tsavorite stones.
If you are hesitating for a Tsavorite ring, there are advantages: intensity, luminosity, a greater variety of hues (although emeralds can be more or less light or dark), more choice of fancy sizes. That said, some prefer emerald, a prestigious precious stone known for thousands of years, a prestigious gemstone known for thousands of years, so highly symbolic and which, for a collector, can represent a safer investment (with a high-quality gem).
Essentially, tsavorite means vitality and regeneration, and is believed to have many benefits: it is said to bring luck, prosperity, and success.
In lithotherapy, it can be used to soothe, rebalance energies, energize relationships, protect, restore confidence or hope, and drive away bad emotions.
The Tsavorite price may be higher or more affordable. For two good quality stones, emerald is generally more expensive. The factors affecting prices are multiple and interconnected. Thus, it is not said that an exceptional tsavorite cannot cost more than an emerald of average quality.
In addition to quality criteria, it is necessary to take into account the origin of the stones, the unheated tsavorites, and the fluctuating demand. But it increases for tsavorite and therefore, Price per carat can be significant for the most beautiful specimens. Since most green garnets are less than 2 carats, the largest ones can have significant prices, but it's not all about carats.
